Daddy-Daughter Date
Saturday night, Kevin took Kimble to the rodeo at the local equestrian center. But first they stopped for tacos (because Kimble simply loves tacos) and then made their way to the park. They got to stand right behind the riders during the rodeo, seeing the cowboys and horses up close. Kevin also let Kimble pick a couple carnival rides to go on. She enjoyed this almost as much as the rodeo itself. Kevin even let her stay up and have ice cream when they got home (at 9:30pm). Great date night for both of them.
yard sale
Saturday morning we participated in a yard sale with the rest of the Johnson family. It seemed like we all brought similar items to sell, meaning a lot of baby and kid items. In the end, we made enough money to make the time spent out in the sun worth it. Plus, we got to spend time with our fun family!

inspiration {thanks heather}
The kids got to spend the night at my sister's house this weekend (Kevin and I went to a funeral Saturday morning). Kimble was totally inspired by her theme cabinet. She changes the decor every holiday (red for valentine's day, green for st. patrick's day... you get the picture). As soon as we got home, Kimble tracked down all the green things that she could. Then, she had to display them, of course. I love it!
spring break
Last week Kimble had spring break from school. We didn't do much of anything and rarely even left our house. The kids did spend some time (a little, not a lot) in a pool Karter got for his birthday. The water was really too cold to enjoy, but that didn't stop the kids from having a good time. Although, Koltyn never actually got in the water. Instead choosing to join in from the side.
They also spent some time (a lot, not a little) playing the X-Box and their Leapsters.
Luckily, we have great cousins that came to play all day on Thursday. The kids all love having friends over, so this was just a perfect addition to our week. Thanks again for coming out Pratt family!

A {Despicable} Party
Saturday night we invited our families over for a birthday celebration for the kids. We had a sub sandwich (with lots of yummy salads) for dinner, the kids opened presents and then we watched a movie in the backyard. Despicable Me was the movie of choice and it was a hit.
We had "Shrink Rays" for the boys (really just water guns without the water) and tutus for the girls. All the girls in their tutus was just too cute!
Kimble absolutely loved this particular gift, a box literally full of craft supplies. We had to coax her away from it just to blow out her candle. Don't you just love the zebra mask too?!
Karter got his first big boy bike for his fourth birthday this year. Unfortunately, we didn't end up with a picture of him on it. Instead, Koltyn took over and we got several pictures of him on it. Hopefully Karter will get a chance to learn to ride it soon and we will get pictures then.
Big thank you to all of our family for making the trip out to celebrate with us!

birthday shout-out
Happy Birthday to my sister Heather!!! She is truly a second mom to my kids, they love her and especially her house. She is also our personal photographer. Her pictures and talent inspire me to be more creative. Since she is always the one behind the camera (I really had a hard time finding a picture of her), I am sharing one of my favorites that she snapped. This was Kimble's first camping trip in June 2005.
