Saturday afternoon we got a last minute call that Phoenix Children's hospital had a bed open for Kimble. She has been battling constipation for most of her short life and we decided it was time to get her all cleaned out in order to start over. We knew that she was scared (knowing a little about what was going to happen to her), so we took the kids to Amazing Jake's before heading to the hospital.
The first two days were really hard, she spent a lot of time sleeping, throwing up and getting it all out. She kept asking to go home and telling us that she did not like this place. But it was working, her tummy was getting better and we all just had to push through it.
Luckily, the last two days were much better. They finally gave her something to help with the nausea and she was up to eating Popsicles (and lots of them). She made herself right at home with plenty of toys and coloring supplies. It made us so happy to see her back to being that energetic chatterbox Kimble that we know and love.
The hardest part is over, but we are far from being out of the weeds. It will be important to keep her clean, following doctor's orders completely. She knows what will happen if we don't so hopefully it won't be too hard to keep up with.
We also want to say THANK YOU to my family for helping take care of the boys while we were with Kimble. They had so much fun and didn't miss seem to miss us one bit.
