We arrived at our hotel in San Diego late afternoon, changed into swimsuits and made the short drive to Ocean Beach. The kids were hesitant at first (and who can blame them, the water was pretty cold), but then didn't want to leave after nearly two hours of playing and running away from the waves.
We made another quick stop at our hotel before going to Old Town San Diego for dinner. We had a great view of the hills and we were even serenaded by a small mariachi band. We had time for a walk around Old Town afterward and ran into several skunks- eww! Luckily, we were able to avoid any smelly situations.
