How Does Your Garden Grow?

We finally got a garden planted. Last night, for FHE, we all went outside and tried to help Kevin plant some seeds. Kimble was so excited, even though all she got to do was hold the flashlight for Kevin. He planted seeds for broccoli, carrots, green beans and peas. While waiting for their turn to help, Kimble and Karter had me snap pictures of their best poses.

Not So Yummy

Koltyn finally had his first taste of rice cereal last weekend... he was not impressed! His face was that of complete disgust. I thought he would be happier to get more food; but then again, I just cannot seem to figure him out.

YAY!!!

Today is the day... Season 6 of The Office! Can you tell that I am ready and super excited? I have been watching past seasons all summer long, so it is definitely time for a new episode. Also, Parks and Recreation is starting again tonight, Kevin's new favorite show (okay maybe not favorite, but it is based on a local government agency and he can relate a little). Anyone else as happy as I am right now?

Kimble's "Beast"

Lately, Kimble has loved making forts in her bedroom to watch movies under. For some reason she calls it a "beast." I am not sure why she thinks that she is using the right word or where she heard that a fort is beast. At the very least, she is having fun... and I know what she is asking for when she wants me to help her make a beast.

Daddy-Daughter Night

Our ward recently had a Daddy-Daughter activity that Kevin and Kimble attended. They had a carnival theme with hot dogs for dinner and all kinds of fun games. Kimble even got her face painted, a unicorn of course. She was SO happy when she got home!

Karter was so mad that he didn't get to go with them. I had to distract him with a walk around the block when they left. I even let him have a popsicle and a cookie for dessert. He was SO happy when Kimble got home!

Silly Daddy...Again!

Last night, after getting the kids cleaned up in the bath Kevin proceeded to draw on their faces with a highlighter, again! He did the same thing to Karter last year. Why is there even a need to draw on the kid's faces (especially right after getting them clean)? It was funny, but a pain to clean off.

Quick Update

Not much has been going on in the Johnson house lately, so I just thought that a quick update would be sufficient.
Kevin- working hard at the town
Kristi- just trying to keep up with the kids
Kimble- loving school, riding the school bus and being a big girl who uses the potty all the time (no more pull-ups, yay!)

Karter- loving movie time on his own bed, watching for the yellow school bus and has stayed in nursery for two whole weeks in a row

Koltyn- loving his (and anyone else's) fingers, trying to get his toes to his mouth and is growing out of clothes super fast
