birthdays {in review}

Kimble wanted to have lunch at grandma's house for her birthday, so we met some cousins for pizza and brownies. She even got to open a couple presents. She loves these erasers that come apart lately, so she was super excited to get more.

Karer had school on his birthday, so instead of a special lunch we had a special evening. We picked up Kevin from work then headed to Red Robin for dinner and Toys R Us to use birthday club coupons (yay for freebies!). He got to open presents before daddy went to work that morning, so when we got home we simply sang Happy Birthday and let him blow out a candle.

Saturday afternoon we had a family party for the kids. We borrowed a bouncer from my sister's work, smashed a pinata and enjoyed time with cousins. Karter wasn't feeling well and actually slept through most of the party. Luckily, he woke up near the end of the party feeling well enough to blow out his candle and open some gifts. Big thank you to all our family for helping us celebrate!

pony party

 Saturday afternoon, we had a small friend birthday party for Kimble. She wanted to have a horse theme party (again!) and we did our best to make it happen. Pennants, pinwheels and toy horses decorated the house. We bobbed for apples, raced to pin tails on ponies and smashed a homemade apple pinata. The girls (plus, Karter and Koltyn) seemed to have a good time and Kimble was happy to have her friends over to play!

Pack 368: Blue & Gold Banquet 2012

Max Hall (Arizona native, Mountain View alumni and Arizona Cardinals quarterback) was our guest speaker. He did a fantastic job encouraging the boys to stick with scouts and sharing how being an Eagle scout has influenced his life. I was shocked when I sat down to eat and he recognized me! We were in the same seminary class for one semester when I was a senior and he was a sophomore at Mountain View.
It was a great night!
