Minnie Mouse Clubhouse

Sweet little Avrie turned three last week and we were able to help her celebrate with a Minnie Mouse party on Saturday. As soon as we arrived she bounced over to me with a huge smile on her face. Happy Birthday Avrie!

Our kids ran right by the bouncer (where all the other kids were) and straight to the swing set. They loved it, spending most of the party playing here.

All the Minnie and Mickey Mouseketeers (minus our kids of course, who refused to wear the adorable ears)...

Koltyn and Spencer had a blast in the ball pool. Yes, Koltyn's jacket is stuffed with balls thanks to his daddy.

purple, purple, purple

Kimble's new favorite color is purple. After finding a purple quilt for her bed, I wanted to add some more of her favorite color to her room without painting the walls purple like she really wants me to do. My sister suggested painting frames purple and I ran with it. I searched my closet for unused frames, purchased a can of spray paint and went to work...

new "pet"

I found this night light at Target a couple weeks ago for Kimble's room. Since then, it has become like a pet to her, always following her around the house somehow. It was a super buy to say the least. {And now the boys want one for their room too.}

lovey dovey day

We had a fun Valentine's day this year! The kids received V-day cards from Grandma Johnson with dollar bills inside. So, after we picked up Kimble from school, I took them to Target and let them pick a special treat with their money. Kimble picked a new Scooby-Doo movie, Karter found a light saber on clearance and Koltyn clung to a Hot Wheels firetruck. Then we picked up happy meals and took lunch to Kevin before heading home.

After getting homework done and kids in bed, Kevin and I exchanged gifts and snapped a quick picture (I know that it is a little blurry, sorry) before he had an online meeting with his school group. Simple, just the way we like things!

our {busy} boys

All day, every day the boys are going from one thing to the next. Today was no exception. They keep me on my toes and I love 'em!
This is why I have a hard time making the bed in the morning. I know that at least one of the boys will crawl inside and start to play. Not even the pillows are safe any more (today they ended up on the floor to make a boat).

Koltyn loves to look out the window when he hears the garbage truck rumbling down the street. I love that he thinks he can get a better view by standing on his tip toes.

Karter would play the X-Box 360 all day if I let him, particularly Lego Batman. I have to say that he is pretty good considering he is only three years old and his hands are not exactly big enough to hold the controller (he usually lays it on the couch or the floor for better access to the buttons).

grandma

Saturday night we went to a birthday for my sweet Grandma Radcliff (my dad's mom). She turned the big 8-0 last week! How could we not celebrate? There were so many people there, my parents' house was filled past capacity, the fullest I have ever seen it and they actually ran out of seats. It made me feel warm inside to know that my grandma is so loved and appreciated. She deserved to have a special night that was all about her, she is one amazing lady after all.
