a bridal shower for JaNel

I recently helped throw a bridal shower for my brother's fiance, JaNel. She is an amazing woman, we are lucky to have her join our family soon. I wanted to post a few pictures from the party to show off my sister's sewing talents. She made these adorable pennants for our decorations.
My motto is to "keep it simple", we were able to do just that with just a few decorations and just serving desserts (per JaNel's request).
A great picture of JaNel with her mom, Sharon and my mom, Linda.

Easter Day!

Dinner was at Grandma and Grandpa Stewart's house with cousins. Aunt Lara was nice enough to set up an egg hunt for the kids.

kimble plays soccer

Kimble wanted to play soccer this season with Karter. She has never really played before and is not the most athletic kid, but she is super excited to try. She already had her first practice and games start this week. Way to go Kimble!

tail spinning

Karter got this tail spin bike for his birthday and the kids have been enjoying it on our little patio. Saturday morning we took it down to the park so that they could get the full effect with all the space the basketball courts provide. Koltyn's legs are not quite long enough, so he had to hitch a ride from Kimble.

arizona city

Friday we traveled down to our lot in Arizona City (south of Casa Grande). Six years ago we bought this lot thinking that we would build a custom home, but Kevin soon changed jobs and we found a better opportunity in Queen Creek. We definitely learned a lesson in praying about a big decision before making it and kick ourselves every month that we make a payment on our dirt. Our goal is to get rid of it (any way possible) this year and move on.
