Go, Koltyn, Go!

A few weeks ago Koltyn figured out how to roll from his back to tummy. Just recently he finally made his way from tummy to back. He is officially on the move! Not only is he enjoying tummy time, but he loves to push up onto his toes (with his tummy completely off the floor).

Johnson Halloween

We had a little Halloween celebration with Kevin's family last night. All the kids were super excited about showing off their costumes and, boy, were they cute!

From left to right: Avrie (cat), Landen (UPS man), Jamie (Candy Corn Witch), Jacie (Dorthy), Kylie (Disco Diva), Spencer (skeleton), Hailey (Superwoman), Kimble (green dinosaur), Karter (red dinosaur) and Koltyn (I forgot his costume).

They even trick-or-treated from room to room as a "practice" for Saturday.

Preschool Picture 09-10

What happened to the happy, picture loving Kimble? I was so excited to get the pictures and then opened her backpack to find this! I still cannot believe that she didn't even try to smile.

Pumpkins

Friday morning we got to visit Mother Nature's Farm in Gilbert. The weather was not ideal, but the activities were great for the kids. They each got to pick and decorate a pumpkin, run through a hay bale maze, see farm animals, go on a hayride and bounce in a bouncy house. What a crazy, but fun couple of hours it was. I would recommend visiting if you get a chance.

Karter, Parker, Dallin, McKay and their pumpkins...

Karter and Kimble really enjoyed decorating their pumpkins with foam stickers...

Koltyn spent most of the time in Heather's stroller...

Rusty Penny

Last week we explored three of the four parks in our neighborhood. They each have a different perk. Our favorite was the "Rusty Penny" park. It had a merry-go-round, rock wall and a sand volleyball court to dig in.

Bounce U

Thanks for including us Heather!! (Please say thank you to all the providers that helped Kimble down the slide for us.)

Park Pals

Monday morning we joined several other mothers and children from our ward at one of the neighborhood parks. They just started Park Pals again after a summer break. Kimble and Karter had a great time, especially because it was a playground they had not played on and kids they had not played with before. Kimble also loves any opportunity to ride her bike. All the kids enjoyed the swings, it was Koltyn's first time. The older kids also liked talking and laughing through the tube.

Quorum vs. Quorum

Saturday morning we got to watch Kevin play in a church softball game. It was the 1st Elder's Quorum vs. the 2nd Elder's Quorum in our ward. They were all good sports and there were more than a few over the fence home runs... including one hit by Kevin! Meanwhile, Kimble and Karter had a great time playing with tons of other kids from the ward. They even served lunch after the game. Although our team did not win, it was still fun to get out and meet fellow ward members. Way to go Kevin!!
(The camera was not working well this day, so sorry for the bad picture but is the best of what I took.)

Tom Thumb

Koltyn has now given up his pacifier and moved on to his thumb. He finally found his thumb just a couple weeks ago. He now has it in his mouth almost constantly. (Kimble never sucked her thumb, but Karter still likes his when he is snuggling his blanket.)

Back to the Park

Saturday morning we headed to the neighborhood park. The weather has been cooling down, so we thought it was wise to take advantage. Kimble loved the slide, Karter never actually went down it and Koltyn enjoyed riding on daddy's shoulders.

On A Roll

Thanks for the water barrel and also the idea, to have the kids roll it around to help clean it out, Mom & Dad!!
