Saturday morning the kids "helped" me put up and decorate the Christmas tree. They colored some wooden ornaments left over from last year while I did all the work. Koltyn didn't color so much as play.

 We also hung our stockings, ready to be filled by the big man himself. One day we may actually get names embroidered on them!

 We also have a small tree in the family room for the kids. They get to decorate (and re-decorate several times over) it with the wooden ornaments we make each year on Christmas Eve.

This year we spent our Thanksgiving with the Johnson family in Peoria. Our day consisted of a little eating and lots of playing. Kimble talked all week about eating a turkey leg, so we let her try. After dinner, we walked down to a little park to play kickball. Some of the kids found the hill more entertaining.

our first soccer game

Karter had his first soccer game of the season on Saturday morning. He did his best and even scored two goals (and one was in the right net). He was so proud of himself and we were pretty proud of him too.

karter's first practice

Karter had his first soccer practice tonight. He did great! When it came to playing a practice game, well, that was just funny. A couple of the boys were the only ones kicking the ball and they couldn't seem to keep it in bounds. Karter simply danced until the last minute when he actually scored a goal. Can't wait to see what happens at the first game on Saturday. Way to go buddy!
