Our family is complete! Kenley arrived Monday at 12:27pm... 9pounds 10ounces and 21.5 inches long.
While Monday was a crazy day with nurses in and out of our room all day and night, Tuesday was calm and quiet. I guess once you get to number four they think you might actually know what you are doing and only bother you when it's time for medications. This left lots of time to snuggle with the little one and have some fun capturing all her baby glory.
Tuesday evening my mom brought the kids to the hospital to meet their little sister. They were all super excited and took turns holding her. I was shocked, this was a reaction that we did not get with the other babies. It made me happier than I could ever express when they all showed her so much love so quickly. We even got a family picture, something we don't have with any of the other kids (except when we only had Kimble of course).
Wednesday afternoon, everyone came to pick us up from the hospital. Kevin was nice enough to get them all in the shirts I had made them which say "I LOVE my little sister." They all wanted to hold her again, but we were in a bit of a hurry, so they all held her at once, smiled and off we went. While my recovery has not been as smooth as the others, the kids have been great helpers, especially Koltyn (getting me things like diapers, pacifiers and bibs and even rinsing out bottles). I can only hope that Kenley will continue to bless our family and bring as much joy to the other kids as she already has.
