July 4th

What a weekend!! Saturday started with Kevin stuffing Karter's jammies with filling from the couch. He had taken it apart to wash the covers and had to stuff his son before putting the filler back in. As much as I hated seeing the seams of his shirt stretched to the max, I couldn't help but laugh. Kimble was able to avoid being stuffed, but didn't want to be left out either.

After lunch, we joined Kevin's family in Peoria for a 4th of July celebration in combination with a birthday party for Jamie (niece). A gigantic water slide was rented, along with a snow cone machine. The kids and adults alike just could not get enough of it.

Karter was not as into the slide as the other kids, he preferred chilling on a boat in the pool. Even Koltyn experienced his first time in the pool.

Kimble and Karter made sure to take a time-out for a snow cone, or two, or three. I guess sitting on a chair with a cool treat wasn't cool enough, so they moved to the pool.

While Koltyn and I spent some time inside, the kids got to play a game outside. They were supposed to stick the jellyfish on the poster (in the net I think), but Karter and Dallin had other ideas...

The birthday theme was SpongeBob Square Pants, so Kevin's sister, Julie, made this house to place in the center of the fruit tray. After all, he lives in a pineapple under the sea.

The time for fireworks finally arrived and the kids watched from the trampoline. They even lit up with patriotic glow necklaces and bracelets from grandma.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!
