Easter 2010 (Part 3, Finally)

Easter Day had finally come. Kimble was the first one up, but waited for the boys to wake up before heading down stairs to see what the Easter Bunny left. I was a little surprised just how excited they were about what was in their baskets.

Once the kids were done looking through their baskets, they went out to the backyard to search for the eggs the Easter bunny left them. It doesn't matter how many times they get to do it, they love hunting for eggs.

After general conference was over, we went to my parents house for dinner. Kimble and Karter also got to go on another egg hunt (three times). Koltyn and Sophie were having a great time playing together, too!

After dinner and dessert, my Mom pulled out a craft for the kids to do. They got to make candy necklaces. Kimble loves crafts, so this was right up her alley. Karter was proud of himself and couldn't wait to show me what he made.

We are grateful for the true meaning of Easter. Kevin made a point of talking to Kimble and Karter about why we really celebrate Easter this year and I love that he did that. We are grateful for our families and that we get to spend such an important day with them.

Wow. You really had a busy weekend. Glad that it was fun. How does confetti eggs work, do you buy them or make them some how? I know someones family tradition is putting a basket full of eggs mixed with hard boiled and regular. Then they pick witch one to smash on to peoples heads. I like your familys tradition a whole lot better. Thanks for sharing.

They used to make their own eggs. Now they can just buy them at the store (I think Walmart).
